Freediving AIDA Courses
Freediving is for everyone, just one of the prerequisites is knowing how to swim, because the human body (mammal) has a great adaptation to the aquatic environment like marine mammals. This means that humans have a great potential to hold their breath and spend a period of time, from a few seconds to a few minutes, underwater. The objective of the course is to make this potential known and apply correct techniques and body knowledge and most importantly, safety.
No you don’t. We have equipment available to rent for all our students during the course. Freediving equipment is very personal, which is why we recommend that you try it before purchasing and get an idea of what is most suitable.
I have been freediving for long time but I´ve never taken a couse, can I join a more advanced course?
We always recommend starting with a basic course to have solid training so you can practice and progress in a very safe way. In some cases, and knowing the person better, you can start with a medium level, AIDA 2 Freediver, which is a course with a very solid foundation of knowledge, suitable for those who already have some practice but lack theoretical and technical knowledge.
Yes, they are. Our courses have AIDA International certification and are recognized worldwide. AIDA International is the International Association for the Development of Apnea, which is the most renowned in the Freediving education program. When you complete the course, your certification will be available. Check: aidainternational.org
